Mr. Rienti is a GIS Analyst and Data Manager at the Center for Health and Social Research. He received a BA in Anthropology (2007) from SUNY Plattsburgh, two MA degrees from the University at Buffalo in Anthropology (2011) and Geography (2013), and is currently working on his PhD in Geography. His dissertation research focuses on walkability and health, specifically, improving walkability measures to aid policy making and intervention planning in order to create healthier built environments.
Prior to joining CHSR, he worked as a GIS technician and analyst on grant projects at the National Center for Geographic Information and Analysis at the University at Buffalo, as well as for several academic research projects and private firms. He also taught GIS courses at Erie Community College.
Mr. Rienti’s primary responsibilities include identifying, collecting, and processing data, managing databases, performing spatial analysis of project data, and generating data driven maps and other types of visualizations.
